Scholarship Awards Dinner 2025

The Croton Lions are pleased to announce the recipients of their 2025 college scholarship service awards. The awards were presented on Tuesday, June 17th, at the Croton Yacht Club, to three Croton Harmon High School seniors, Jack Kooney, Alana Walsh and Tristan Moore. Each was accompanied by their parents and friends.

Jack Kooney’s award was in honor of Gerry Klein, Tristan Moore’s award was in honor of Jerry Marafito and Alana Walsh’s award in honor of George Smalls, all former Croton Lions.

The Lions Club has been awarding scholarships to CHS graduating students from the time the Lions Club was founded in 1939. To this day, it is estimated that the club has donated more than $500,000 to deserving students who are involved in community service.

Dinner was provided by the Croton Diner, thanks to proprietor Peter Tsagarakis, a long-standing Lions member. Everyone enjoyed the Croton Yacht Club’s nautical vibe and spectacular Hudson River views.

The Lions Club motto is “We Serve.” We welcome anyone who would like to join the Lions Club.
