BluePath Dog Walk-a-Thon

We volunteer at, and are a sponsor of the Annual BluePath Walk-a-thon each Spring at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights. BluePath is an organization that trains service dogs for children on the autism spectrum free of charge. We have witnessed first hand the profound impact that this service has on the children and their families and we are excited to support such an amazing cause. For more information about BluePath, please visit their website.

Sunset Barbecue

Every summer we organize a fun barbecue for the community. To learn more about the next sunset barbecue at Senasqua Park check this space in July, 2026. Join us for a delicious barbecue feast, great music and lawn games. And don’t forget the glorious sunset over the Hudson River!

Eyeglass Recycling

Your used, unneeded eyeglasses can be recycled! Just bring them to one of our drop-off locations and we will do the rest.

Locations:

  • Croton Vision

  • Croton Colonial Restaurant

  • Croton municipal building

  • Annual Sunset Barbecue

  • Christmas Tree Sale

Our best-known fundraising event is our annual Christmas tree sale. Every year we round up hundreds of trees from Pennsylvania and drive them up to Croton to sell to the community. All profits go to local charities, our community gets fresh beautiful and festive Christmas trees and we have a blast doing it.

We call that a win, win, win!

  • Vision Screening

An official project of the Lions Clubs of New York State, Lions SEE (Screening Eyes Early) is a free community service to local pre-schools, day care facilities and schools. The objective is to screen children for vision problems that can lead to Amblyopia, commonly called “lazy eye.” With parental permission, trained Lions volunteers use a special non-invasive camera-like scanner.  The scanner indicates “Pass” (no action necessary) or “Refer” (refer for further evaluation by an eye care professional). The program’s mission is to decrease childhood blindness through early detection and treatment.  The Croton Lions Club team will be doing its first pre-school screening the end of February.

For further information, go to: www.lionsseeny.org or send an email to: CrotonLionsClub@gmail.com. Or, use our contact form, and a Lions member will get back to you.

  • Free Medical Equipment Lending

We maintain an inventory of donated medical supplies that we lend to those who need them — all for free. We have items from crutches to wheelchairs and everything in between. Call (914) 271-5200 if you would like to borrow something or have medical equipment to donate. We are not accepting wheelchair donations at this time. Needed: rollators and shower seats. Please do not leave donations outside the trailer - speak with us first.
