Medical Trailer Evaluation and Reorganization

The Croton Lions recently had their semiannual equipment evaluation and reorganization. This is done to remove old, damaged, or excess equipment since the trailer has limited space.
The clean-up team was led by Bob Anderson, Claudia Romano, Karen Polacek, Doug Garbarini, Steve Giacobello and Barry Fields.
The Croton community has been very generous in donating to the trailer, and sometimes it is more than we can handle. Fortunately, we can donate excess equipment to the AFYA Foundation in Yonkers.
AFYA improves health outcomes by rescuing surplus medical supplies and diverting them to compromised and under-resourced health systems, filling urgent gaps in care. Together with the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), they collect unused medical supplies from 40 hospitals across New York City. These essential resources are then sorted, boxed, and delivered to physicians, health clinics, and community-based humanitarian organizations in need globally.
We all win and our local efforts will extend nationally and globally in keeping with our mandate, “We Serve.”
The Lions provide the equipment free of charge to anyone in need. Call 914-271-5200 or send a note to crotonlionsclub@gmail.com.
