CCC Easter Bonnet Luncheon

The Lions Club sponsored the Croton Caring Committee’s Easter Bonnet Luncheon on April 5 at the municipal building community room. Everyone seemed to have a good time. The delicious food from the Croton Diner and scrumptious carrot cake from Baked by Susan were enjoyed by all. Any leftover food was brought to a homeless shelter in Peekskill by Lions member, Amy.

Lions were out in force to communicate our mission to about 80 guests, members of the Croton Caring Committee and high school students who served the meal.

Ticket sales of our major spring fundraiser, a 50/50 raffle, sprung to a great start with the help of Dan Boglioli, the president of Croton Caring, who bought about fifty tickets and gave them to guests. Ticket sales will continue until the drawing at the end of Croton Summerfest, June 1st. Many thanks to Rosalie and Greta, our ticket sellers.

The highlight of the afternoon was the Easter bonnet parade, judged by Don, Pete, Bob and Vic. It was hilarious. Everyone had a great time. Each participating guest received a chocolate bunny as a prize.

Many thanks to all the Lions members who helped out. We couldn’t have done it without YOU!
