Eagle Scout Aims to Help Croton Arboreum

Below is a letter from Tristan, Eagle Scout candidate:

My name is Tristan Szeto, and I am a Life Scout in Troop 28 working toward my Eagle Scout rank. I am excited to share my Eagle Scout Service Project with you.

The Jane E. Lytle Memorial Croton Arboretum's current trail brochures and maps are outdated. The project will update and print new color-coded trail maps and brochures, as well as construct and install two new map stations at key entrances to the Arboretum. These improvements will make it easier for visitors to navigate the trails and learn more about the Arboretum.

The total project budget is approximately $3,200. The Croton Lions Club has been a major supporter of the project, and generously committed approximately half of the cost. I am seeking to raise the remaining money to help complete the project with a $1700 GoFundMe appeal. Donations will go toward printing, lumber, map station construction, signage, and other materials needed for the project.
